Welcome to the Mount Gravatt Men's Shed site!
Our aim is to provide a safe, welcoming and creative environment in which to address a wide range of needs for members. You are invited to come and enjoy fellowship, and engage in activities on offer, with the support of like-minded members.
Mt Gravatt's Men's Shed Inc. promotes a strong interest in Woodworking, Woodturning, Carpentry and Welding. Interest groups also exist in the shed for members such as Darts, Guitar, Cooking, Computing, Card Playing, Gardening, Leatherwork, Photography (new sites added), Art and Travel.
The shed is a friendly and relaxed place with plenty of time for a cup of tea and a chat with other members. No matter what your skills, you will be welcome at the Shed. If you are skilled in any of the areas we cater for, then you are encouraged to pass them on to others or you can learn from others as they pass on their skills.
The Shed is open for members from 08.00 a.m. to 03.00 p.m. each normal week day. Tuition in the workshop is available. See the calendar for times. Voluntary supervisors help those new to Woodworking, Metalworking and Leather Work and monitor workplace health and safety aspects.
For those who may not wish to use the workshop, there are interest groups that meet for activities such Cooking, Guitar Playing, Art Classes, Photography, Card Playing, Computer Tuition, Travel and Darts.
The Shed Day social meeting is on the first Monday of the month in the Community Hall of the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds, 1644 Logan Road, Mt Gravatt. Time is 10.30 a.m. for a 11.00 a.m. start. NOTE: Back when Covid19 regulations allow.
